Regarding the Installation of a Post Office Box in Kawabe Horinouchi

On October 9th, I visited the Hino Post Office to request the installation of a Kawabe Horinouchi post box, an issue that has been raised by the community even before I became a council member.

Actually, before becoming a council member, I worked in this department myself. I listened to your requests and observed how the Hino Bureau handled matters.
And since becoming a council member, I’ve continued visiting the post office once a year to negotiate.
To get straight to the point, we’ve advanced discussions to a stage where the possibility of installing a postbox immediately upon completion of the land readjustment is very high.
However, the final decision does not rest with the Hino Bureau, and factors like whether the times are right for installation can change the judgment. Honestly, I cannot say for certain what will happen.
Therefore, to fulfill the wishes of local residents, I am explaining the situation in Kawabe Horinouchi during discussions with the Tokyo Branch Office and am currently requesting cooperation from both the Hino Post Office and the Tokyo Branch Office.
Until now, since the installation was not confirmed, we refrained from posting any information on SNS or other platforms to avoid raising citizens’ expectations unnecessarily and to prevent any inconvenience to Japan Post.
However, we have heard many voices expressing concern. Now that the Kawabe Horinouchi land readjustment is nearing completion, we are reporting this to you.
We will continue discussions with the Land Readjustment Division and Hino Post Office to work toward installing a mailbox, aiming to meet everyone’s expectations.
