Liberal Democratic Party Tama Region Assembly Members’ Association Summer Training Session for All Assembly Members
On July 30, the Liberal Democratic Party’s San-Tama Assembly Members Liaison Council held its summer training session for all assembly members.
This time, Member of the House of Representatives Kaoru Fukuda (Tokyo 18th District), who served as our lecturer, is a former bureaucrat at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and provided us with a detailed explanation regarding the surge in rice prices.
We had anticipated stable supplies this autumn, but due to the intense heatwave and unexpected adverse weather conditions, the price of new rice remains high.
Furthermore, with additional price increases scheduled for October, we are grappling with measures to address rising costs at the municipal level.
