Liberal Democratic Party Participation of the National Association of Women Legislators’ Policy Research NO.1

I look forward to this annual institute 🌷✨

Although I was unable to attend the two-day event this time due to official committee business, it was very valuable to hear about regional policy issues from my colleagues from around the country.

House of Councilors member Nanako Jimi and her fellow female councilors from across Japan

In the area of anti-harassment measures, we heard directly from a lawyer of the Liberal Democratic Lawyer’s Association.

There is also a hotline that responds as an LDP organization, and I felt again that our party is changing with the times. It is really reassuring.

I had the opportunity to hear from Ms. Junko Mihara, Minister of State for Special Missions, Cabinet Office, regarding child policy.

I am a graduate of the first and second terms of the Women’s Mirai Juku Candidate Development Course, and I have been consistently active in the Diet since I submitted my thesis, “Health Insurance Coverage of Infertility Treatment,” when I first entered the course.

During the Q&A session, I had the opportunity to speak directly to the Minister.

I was very encouraged by the comments of the participants, who said, “Yes! I was very encouraged by their comments 🌷✨✨.

Now that the support for child rearing from pregnancy onward has begun to take off, we will do what we can as city council members to simultaneously promote support for infertility treatment and the improvement of the environment for dealing with one’s own body, while cooperating with the metropolitan and national governments on matters beyond that, and moving forward with the bonds that are the strength of our party.
