The 28th Hinode Shinsengumi Festival was held on May 10 and 11.
Many Shinsengumi fans gathered from all over the city and beyond, making it a lively festival. 🕊️✨

This time we report on Day 1😊.

On May 10, the festival was held mainly at Takahata Fudoson.
In the morning, a memorial service for the Shinsengumi was held, and we saw many foreigners sitting on their knees in attendance.
In the Kimono Queen Contest, a young lady wearing a beautiful all-over shibori furisode kimono made by her grandmother was chosen as the winner.

The main event of the day, after all, is the contest to select the parade’s corpsmen, which will be held on the second day.

It was the first time for me to see the event from start to finish,
The contestants and the audience became one and created a fun atmosphere 🌷✨.

If you’ve always wanted to compete but never had the courage, please give it a try next year !

For those who are nervous, there were many more shout-outs and it’s a great contest with unity 💓.

Well, this year’s Mr. Hijikata Toshizo was chosen by Mineyoshi Hirano, the winner of last year’s last “Hijikata Toshizo Contest National Competition” 🏆✨✨.
