We also learned about impact startups.

Impact startups are startup companies that aim to positively impact society by both solving social issues and achieving sustainable growth. They are companies that not only pursue profit, but also focus on solving social issues and contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The most impressive was the use of excretion sensors.

The introduction of these sensors has reduced the number of empty diaper changes by 90%.

Considering the reduction of the burden on those engaged in caregiving and the sanitary health of those who simply wait for diaper changes, I would like to introduce this system at facilities in Hino City.

We would like to propose this idea to the city government and also seek for any subsidies that we can utilize.

As a farmer’s daughter, I was also very interested in identifying farmland in need of bearers.

With the ongoing rezoning, the Urban Agriculture Promotion Division in Hino City is focusing on supporting new farmers while matching farmland, so it is doubtful if our city will be a target for utilization, but the council members who came from rural areas were quite interested in what we had to say.

The Impact Startup Association has also been established and young people are working on new issues with new technologies.

The lecture was both reflective and hopeful, as we support them and hope to be legislators who can talk about and move forward into the future 🌷✨.
