Run Tomo Hino: A Town Where You Can Live with Peace of Mind Even with Dementia

On November 2nd, Run Tomobino was held.
RUN Tomobino is a community-building event where local residents, businesses, and shops who previously had no connection with people living with dementia run together, passing a baton to individuals living with dementia, their families, and healthcare/welfare professionals. 🕊️💫
What a wonderful event! ✨
“Further promoting community-based integrated care based on the Basic Act on Dementia and the Long-Term Care Insurance Act” is also included in my policy platform.
While support measures based on law are important, I feel that awareness activities through events led by those providing support on the front lines, and creating environments like Run伴 where individuals with dementia can be brought out to experience the town’s atmosphere and kindness, are the most helpful for both mind and body.

This year I could only see them off, so I resolved to participate myself next year. I will build a solid administrative foundation through politics that protects those who protect lives, by establishing appropriate support systems for care facilities and their staff. 🕊️💫
